Kung Hee Fat Choy!

Happy Lunar New Year to everyone!

Ox people are truthful and sincere, and the idea of wheeling and dealing in a competitive world is distasteful to them. They are rarely driven by the prospect of financial gain. These people are always welcome because of their honesty and patience. They are reputed to be the most beautiful of face in the zodiac. They have many friends, who appreciate the fact that the Ox people are wary of new trends, although every now and then they can be encouraged to try something new. People born in the year of the Ox make wonderful parents and teachers of children. ~Wikipedia~

Some famous Ox people are:
President Barack Obama, Jane Fonda, Heather Locklear, George Clooney, Jack Nicholson, Margaret Thatcher, Princess Diana, Meg Ryan and Meryl Streep.

M·A·C Gets A Total Makeover

Have you been to M·A·C's website lately? It's been totally revamped and flashier. It looks really beautiful.

The only thing I don't like about the new design, is the flash animation. Unless you have a really fast PC, all those huge flashies really suck alot of cpu, thus making the site load up extremely slow. :(

Makeup Haul: M·A·C Concealers and 182 Buffer Brush

I dropped by the M·A·C Store this afternoon before heading home, and got a few things to add to my ever growing M·A·C collection.

I got two concealers and the 182 Buffer brush.

Studio Finish SPF 35 Concealer (NW30 - $15.50)

A lightweight, creamy, discreetly opaque concealer. Provides a smooth, long-wearing invisible coverage for all skin blemishes. Water-resistant, fragrance-free and non-acnegenic. This emollient-based, lightweight concealer is so concentrated that a tiny amount can provide opaque coverage of the skin's imperfections and discolourations. It effectively covers dark circles, blemishes, moles, tattoos and birthmarks. Enriched with antioxidants (derivatives of Vitamin C and Vitamin E), it also contains Silica to help adsorb the skin's oils. Concealer has an SPF of 35 and is available in a wide range of colours. It can be applied with a medium to firm fiber brush (try the 242 Brush), a latex sponge, or the fingertips.
182 Buffer Brush ($45.00)
A full, dome-shaped brush of extra soft goat hair. Specially created to flawlessly blend powder onto the skin for an immaculate polished finish. Excellent for all M·A·C powders and pigments.

Select Moisturecover (NW30 - $15.50)
A luxuriously blendable moisturizing concealer in a tube with built-in doe-foot applicator. Goes on exactly where you want it: blends in for a natural satin-smooth ultra-moisturized finish. Layers up for added coverage. Line-softening, skin-perfecting: The Pros’ “select” for under-eyes and delicate skin. Wide shade range provides soft, natural camouflage. Use with the 194 Concealer Brush.

Makeup Haul: M·A·C

Hey Bella Lovelies!

I finally got my M·A·C goodies delivered on Monday via UPS. I was excited when I came home and saw a black box in front of my door.

I took advantage of M·A·C's Friends & Family 25% Off everything sale online and I saved a bundle.

So here it is, my M·A·C haul...

There were many more eyeshadow I wanted to get, but they were sold out.

EYE SHADOW ($14.50)
Highly-pigmented powder. Applies evenly, blends well.
  • Parfait Amour
  • Creme de Violet
  • Black Tied
  • Swish
  • Pink Freeze

FLUIDLINE (Blacktrack - $15.00)
Ultra-smooth, Fluidline’s gel formula provides the precision of a liquid liner with a silkier, softer finish. Goes on “foolproof” with a brush in an easy dip-and-stroke action. Long-wearing. Smudge-proof. Lines up in a rich array of colours and finishes. Brush sold separately.

A compact of four distinct shades that complement the dark rich opulence of M·A·C Cult of Cherry collection. Features limited-edition shades of Light Fall, Smudged Violet, Deep Truth and Shadowy Lady in a lush textural mix of satin, lustre and matte finishes.

STUDIO FIX (NW35 - $26.00)
Studio Fix is a powder and foundation in one that combines good coverage with ease of application. Designed to be used dry, the powder and pigments create a matte, velvety texture. It contains Silica, which helps to maintain a matte finish by absorbing oils on the skin, as well as Talc to provide a smoother, less reflective, matte finish. The talc has been milled to a microscopic size to provide a beautiful texture while allowing the skin to breathe. This product is long-wearing. It is available in a wide range of colours. It can be applied with a brush, sponge, or a powder puff.
BLOT POWDER/PRESSED (Medium Dark - $21.00)
A unique pressed powder designed primarily to provide shine control without adding any noticeable colour or texture. Sets foundation, finishes faces. For use in professional situations and for frequent touch-ups. Blot Powder contains Mica and Silica to adsorb excess oils and reduce shine on the skin's surface. Can be applied with the puff that comes in the compact or with a powder brush like #129 Powder/Blush Brush. Perfect for touching up Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation throughout the day.

Short tapered, blending brush with ultra-soft, natural bristles. For application and blending of shadow on the lid, and perfect for working the crease.
I couldn't believe they were sold out of many of the brushes I wanted to get. I really wanted to get the 187, 188, 129, 224 and more.

First Post - First M·A·C Brushes Haul

Yay, my first post of the year, and what better way to start the new year by getting my first set of M·A·C brushes. I heard so much things about it and it was about time I start investing in high-quality brushes.

I've never own any M·A·C brushes because they were just too pricey for me. There's just so many to choose from and didn't know which to get first. After checking the web and seeing what other people recommend or were their favorites, I decided to get 3 brushes (totaling $73.30 with tax) as a start .

Here's what I got...

219 PENCIL BRUSH ($23)

For precision shading on lid, in eye crease or along lash line. The soft, smooth fibers of this brush are gathered into a pencil-shaped tip. It is ideal for blending eyeliner into eye shadow to create a smoky looking eye.
239 EYE SHADING BRUSH ($24.50)
Soft and dense to shade or blend eye shadow or emollient-based products. This brush has a tapered, rounded edge with smooth, firm, fine fibers. It can be used to build intense colour on the eyelid.
217 BLENDING BRUSH ($22.50)
For shading or blending of colour or creamy products. This brush has fine, densely packed fibers that are arranged in an oval shape.
I haven't tried any of them yet because I just washed them and waiting for it to dry.

I still have more brushes I ordered from CoastalScents to be delivered. Also, I got alot of stuff I got last month and still haven't posted it yet. Hopefully, I find the time to post it.

I'll be getting more M·A·C brushes in the near future, if you have any suggestions what to get next, let me know.
